CorpCard Terms of Use
Last updated: 26 August 2026 Effective: 26 August 2026
The short version
- CorpCard shows you your card charges and helps you mark which were for work.
- It reads your accounts. It cannot move money.
- What it shows you comes from your bank, through Plaid. It can be late, wrong, or incomplete, and you are responsible for what you submit to your employer.
- CorpCard is not your accountant, your lawyer, or your employer's expense policy.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Cancel any time in your Apple Account.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Easton Orbe, an independent developer based in New York, United States, trading as CorpCard ("we", "us").
By downloading or using the CorpCard app, or this website, you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't use CorpCard.
You must be 18 or older to use CorpCard.
2. The app licence
The CorpCard iPhone app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which applies in full and is incorporated here by reference. These terms add to it. Where the two genuinely conflict on a point about the app itself, Apple's agreement wins.
You may not reverse-engineer the app, resell access to it, use it to build a competing product, or use it to access anyone's financial data but your own.
3. Connecting your accounts
You connect cards through Plaid Inc., which handles the bank login. Your credentials go to Plaid, never to us. Your use of Plaid is also governed by Plaid's own terms and its End User Privacy Policy.
By connecting an account you confirm you are authorised to do so — that it is your account, or that you have permission from whoever owns it.
Our access is read-only. CorpCard cannot initiate a payment, a transfer, or any other movement of funds, and never asks for the ability to.
We remove connections that go unused for 45 days. Your history stays; you reconnect the card when you come back. Maintaining a live read into someone's bank account that nobody is using is not something we want to do.
4. What CorpCard is not
CorpCard is a record-keeping tool. It is not:
- a bank, a lender, or a money transmitter
- a source of financial, tax, accounting or legal advice
- a guarantee that your employer will reimburse anything
- a substitute for your employer's expense policy or your own records
Charge data comes from your bank via Plaid. It can arrive late, arrive with a merchant name that means nothing to you, change after it posts, or not arrive at all. Pending charges in particular change. Check anything that matters against your statement. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to your employer, to a tax authority, or to anyone else.
Category suggestions are guesses made from your own past decisions. They are suggestions. You decide.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Apple bills you, through your Apple Account. We never see your card.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. We cannot issue one directly.
- Prices can change. We will tell you before a change affects you, and Apple will ask you to confirm.
- Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
Sample-data mode is free and stays free.
6. Your account and your conduct
You are responsible for keeping access to your device and your Apple Account secure. Signing in uses Sign in with Apple; we never hold a password of yours.
Don't use CorpCard to break a law, to access financial data that isn't yours, to attack or overload our systems, or to scrape or resell what it produces.
7. Ending it
You can stop at any time: disconnect your cards, delete your data, delete the app. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we're required to, or if we stop offering CorpCard. If we shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data, and we won't keep charging you for something that no longer exists.
8. Changes to the service and these terms
CorpCard is actively developed, and features will change. We may update these terms; the date at the top will change with them. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use CorpCard after that means you accept the updated terms.
9. Disclaimers
CorpCard is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or that data retrieved from your bank will be complete or accurate.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, in which case they simply don't apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost reimbursements, or lost data, arising from your use of CorpCard.
Our total liability for any claim relating to CorpCard is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
This reflects a real trade-off: CorpCard costs a few dollars a month, and it cannot carry the risk of an expense claim that gets rejected. Verify what matters against your statement.
11. Third parties
Plaid, Apple, and our hosting providers each operate under their own terms. We're not responsible for their services, and links from CorpCard to other sites are not endorsements.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we each consent to that. This does not remove any right you have to bring a claim in small claims court, or any protection your local consumer law gives you that cannot be waived.
13. Everything else
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing something once doesn't waive it. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else; we may transfer them if CorpCard is sold or moved into a company, on notice to you.
Together with the Privacy Policy and Apple's Standard EULA, these terms are the whole agreement between us about CorpCard.
